Have you ever thought that you should be paid for household chores?
Well Spanish woman Ivana Moral did, and has made her now ex husband reimburse her for all of her work during their marriage.
A Spanish court awarded Ivana over $320,000, to be paid by her ex husband, for her unpaid domestic labour.
The massive settlement was handled by Judge Laura Ruiz Alaminos, who based the amount on the annual minimum wage throughout the couple’s marriage, reported i news.
“I was supporting my husband in his work and in the family as a mother and a father. I was never allowed access to his financial affairs; everything was in his name.”

The tweet above translates to “Ivana Moral, the woman to whom her ex-husband will have to compensate with 204,624 euros for the work in the home that she did during the 25 years of marriage, has received the news as “a ball of oxygen” and, above all, as “a victory morality,” according to his lawyer Marta Fuentes.”
“Clearly this was a case of abuse to be completely excluded financially [by her ex-husband] with nothing left after my marriage ended,” Ms Moral told i news.
“So me and my daughters were left with nothing after all these years of putting all my time, energy and love in the family.”
When Moral’s marriage ended, her then husband was happy to split their possessions but refused to give her or either of their daughters any money.
The Spanish mother of 2 is over the moon with the outcome and now wants to encourage other women who have been through similar battles to fight their fight.
It is also reported that Moral’s ex-husband has found the courts ruling unfair and is now expected to appeal the decision.
