During a Country Cabinet event, the State Government has unveiled a $4.8 million Financial Wellbeing and Resilience Program aimed at aiding financially vulnerable South Australians grappling with the challenges of cost-of-living pressures.
This initiative will provide a suite of services, including financial counselling, debt management, assistance in accessing no-interest loans, and emergency financial support.
The program will extend across both regional and metropolitan areas, focusing on enhancing the financial wellbeing of individuals, families, young people, and vulnerable communities.
Uniting Country SA will be the service provider for this program in the Far North and YP with Centacare Catholic Country handling it in the EP.
The initiative builds upon successful financial wellbeing services that were previously deployed during the River Murray floods.
