Locals are encouraged to help find loving homes for animals in need to mark the 10th annual National Pet Adoption Month.
Animal behaviourist Doctor Kate Mornement says Petstock Foundation’s campaign has already helped re-home more than 40,000 rescue pets.
“Local residents and families can visit petstock.com.au for more information about adopting or fostering a pet in need in their local area, Doctor Mornement says.
“We know that adopting a dog or cat or even a rabbit can provide really substantial benefits for young families, and these include providing companionship, teaching responsibility, and helping them learn about compassion for another being.”
