Yorke Peninsula locals could soon lose access to two beloved local beaches, after Barunga West Council moved a motion to restrict vehicles and camping.
NewsCorp reports that Mayor Leonie Kerley asked Landscapes SA for immediate action to install fencing restricting vehicle access on BACK BEACH.
During a Council meeting on Tuesday night, the council also banned camping on Barkers Beach, and will no longer be issuing camping permits.

The sand dunes will also be fenced off with one access point open to day visitors only.
The snap move comes after Council expressed concerns over the upkeep of the region.
