In local footy over the weekend, round 10 played out in the Northern Areas.
It was one to forget for Jamestown-Peterborough, who are still on the hunt for their first win of the season — they went down to Broughton-Mundoora, 129 to 9.
In Melrose, BMW got the win over Southern Flinders, 79 to 63 and Crystal Brook defeated Orroroo, 91 to 80.
In the WFL, round 8 wrapped up with South and Weeroona Bay taking the wins on Saturday – South defeated Central, 71 to 32 and Weeroona Bay defeated North, 53 to 39.
While on Sunday, Roopena were the victors, taking down West, 58 to 40.
On the YP, CMS Crows went down at the hands of Central Yorke, 74 to 89, Paskeville got the win over Southern Eagles, 68 to 39, and Bute took the two points with a win over Kadina, 42 to 28.
But it was a blow out for bottom of the table Wallaroo, they were defeated by Ardrossan, 100 to 36.
Round 8 of the NEFL wrapped up with South Clare falling at the hands of Blyth-Snowtown, 69 to 60, MinMan took the win over RSMU, 54 to 30, and North Clare defeated BBH, 89 to 42.
But the heart stopper for the week was in Eudunda, the Southern Saints narrowly defeating BSR, 22 to 21, to tie up the top of the ladder.
And in the Spencer Gulf league, Central defeated West, 86 to 54, PropRisdon got the points, with a win over Sollies, 109 to 56, and Souths lost to Port, 114 to 55.
