Far North lead-foot pays the price

A man has received a fine of over $1,700 for driving more than 35 km/h over the speed limit on Sunday, 24 March.

Just before 1:30pm, police were conducting mobile radar duties on the Stuart Highway when they detected a vehicle travelling at 146 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

The 37-year-old Victorian man was subsequently stopped by police and received an expiation notice totalling $1,734 for exceeding the speed limit.
