More break-ins prompt another reminder from Port Augusta Police

Another reminder has been issued to keep homes and vehicles secure in Port Augusta, following another bout of break-ins on the weekend.

Port Augusta Police say several break-ins and vehicle interferences were reported between 17-20 May:

  • A vehicle parked on Carlton Parade had one tyre deflated and wires under the bonnet disconnected.
  • A vehicle parked outside tourist accommodation was entered and a handbag, purse, passport and other items were stolen.
  • A vehicle at a caravan park was entered and searched.
  • Three vehicles in Crighton Drive were entered and searched, with a set of keys taken from one car.
  • Two separate premises in Frome Street were entered and a Nintendo Switch and a backpack containing a laptop and spare car keys were stolen.

Police urge anyone who notices suspicious behaviour to report it to the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
