New approach to UTI medication

Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections will be easier, with women now able to cut-out the middle man when accessing medication.

From 1 March, people with uncomplicated UTI’s could speak to trained community pharmacists for a one-off course of antibiotics – no prescription necessary.

This State Government announcement is welcomed by regional residents, where access to GP’s is limited.
