Port Augusta topped the October/November regional South Australia criminal offences list last year with 394 offences.
Shadow Police Minister Sam Telfer has expressed concern about a crime crisis, saying some of the most violent crimes are occurring in Port Lincoln and Port Augusta.
Police Minister Joe Szakacs says $81.8 million has been committed over four years to recruit an additional 189 police security officers.

SAPOL is also encouraging residents to take preventive actions, such as installing CCTV, using alarms, securing windows and doors, and concealing valuables.
