Plans are already being made for next year’s 150th Jamestown Cup after the racing was cancelled over the weekend due to the dry condition of the track.
And while it may have been too dry for the horses to run, that didn’t stop the punters from enjoying a fantastic day track side.
Around 600 people gathered for a day of fashions on the field and live entertainment.
The dash for cash saw both adults and kids competing in a 100m sprint.
In the relay races, the Jamestown-Peterborough Netball Club took home the women’s crown, while the Sacred Heart Old Collegians claimed victory in the men’s race.
The hope is that the horses will be able to return to the track in 2025.
