One million kilos of silo grain bags are used across SA every year…
That’s according to a new study, which also shows there’s now good way to reuse or recycle them.
As such a project looking into a viable solution has been launched, with Grain Producers SA exploring grant funding opportunities and raising awareness about circular economy opportunities in the sector.

The research found 60 percent of the used bags are located on the Eyre Peninsula, with just over 10 percent each on the Yorke Peninsula and in the Mid-North.
