Snowtown’s Hummocks Station Transformed Into a Working Farm and Accommodation Facility

A couple of farmers are attempting to help change Snowtown’s bad press and promote agritourism.

Andrew and Rosemary Michael have transformed Hummocks Station into a working farm and accommodation facility, restoring its original buildings and offering a glimpse into the region’s rich farming history.

With the help of a state government tourism heritage grant, they’ve invested over $150,000 to bring the old trap shed and stables back to their former glory

The grand opening of the restored buildings and the launch of a modern wool store took place in May.

The event welcomed guests, including South Australia Tourism Minister Zoe Bettison, who commended the Michaels for their commitment to preserving heritage, sustainable practices, and their role in promoting agritourism.
