The Superbowl trailer for the upcoming DC Universe movie “The Flash” has dropped and introduces us to something never seen before, Two actors playing Batman in one movie.
Both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton are reprising their roles as Batman in a movie that involves time and interdimensional travel.
Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
In the trailer, we also get a glimpse of this films “Super Girl” who is played by Sasha Calle who is known for her role in daytime soap The Young and the Restless. There’s no sign of Henry Cavill’s “Super Man” in this film though.
New man in charge at DC, the popular director James Gunn who we know from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Films and the DC film The Suicide Squad as well as spin-off TV show “Peacemaker” is excited about what this Flash movie brings to the DCU. He said via social media “I love this movie so much. Can’t wait for you guys to see it”.
“The Flash” will open in theaters on June 16th 2023.
